This was part of the two books that I have as a compulsory reading, sort of. It doesn't have many pages but I was progressing slowly. Here are the reasons as to why:

I'm not sure whether to start with the things I didn't like or the ones I like. But from start let's say there is a narrator telling the story of our main characters. Phileas Fogg u very punctual and generous person, maybe a bit eccentric, but it didn't lessen the fact he was still mysterious with his mathematical exactness.
His Jean was his new servant who is introduced at the very beginning of the book. The fact I have noticed is that the characters are added gradually. This leads to not having trouble understanding who is who and what is their role. I liked it and maybe that's why the books is good. The modern books have a way of putting all of the characters in one chapter as if reflecting the lack of time into the book.

It has easy English despite the fact it is a classic, but then again it's not really an English author is he? And it looks like that the author either travelled a lot or had done nice research because the descriptions are done in detials. Yet that is what reminds me of Tolkien. Too many descriptions and lacks of dialogues. The main reason I wasn't in rush to pick the book up and continue reading it.

As for the story that was going on it has nice and romantic end to it, but...why does Phileas find the solution to a problem that quickly? More struggling would be welcomed, or maybe some more action.

Soo that is all from me for now. I know I'm running behind promised schedule, but school is taking the best of me and I'm glad I have some time for myself for the past days! Seeya soon lovies.

November Wrap-up

Currently sitting in class so  this will be short. Xp. Don't kill me for that I have no time really. School is getting the best of me. I'm lucky that I have time to read, which isn't going as fast as i would love to.

The third book I've read this month is Around the world in 80 days by Jules Verne. The review on it will be soon up, I'm having just last few pages to go. It is going too slow and I can tell that  it won't be having more than 3 stars from me!

October WrapUp & November BOokhaul

A month has passed and sadly I haven't read much! (damn it school, just damn it) Or maybe I shouldn't blame school for that...Yeah I shouldn't if I wanted I could surely quit reading fanfictions and get to my books OR stop playing the goddamn PC games (no they are not, pc games are amazing <3). aaaand yeah also have a roleplay blog on tumblr, taking most of my times. 

Alright  let me stop complaining and making up excuses for not reading, solemnly my fault I get it. But hei! It's hard time for me! And reading slumps are not helping it much either!

First of the Wrap-up for the month of October.

The only book I've managed to get through is Brooding city, by Tom Shutt. And I've already rated it two out of five stars, because well:

"Didn't leave a good feeling at the end, I was confused, having trouble to understand what was happening. It looks like there are two stories in one book. I also had lots of questions toward the background story which went on behind it. Would recommend to focus just on one character development." Mimi, 2015

Anyway, do fanfictions count as reading? Because hell I've read tons and tons of them, mostly with Mycroft, Sherly ummm Crowley and whole supernatural people. *blushes*

Moving onto the Bookhaul of November!!

Most of my books from October moved in here, I'm currently third way through Fangirl and I'm kind of liking it. Can't say I'm in love with the book because I'm tasting new waters here. This is a kind of books I've scarcely read before and still trying to process down of what is happening. 

Then there is halfway done Verne's Around the world in eighty days which is basically a compulsory read and it goes on slowwwly. It's only that I don't like many descriptions huddled up together and this is what this book is about. Mostly descriptions and lack of dialogues. But it can do, I found love in classics lately and will be reading more of them soon.

And lastly the books I have received from author! Which came with the amazing note of being accepted as permanent reviewer so I'm utterly happy and already quarter through the first book, because hell it's amazing. Angels and demons? Finally my kind of thing out of these books. *grins widely*

I hope that this month will be far more productive than the last one. My two babies (Crown of Midnight and Heir of fire) are patiently waiting till I can get to them. Yet a thought ran through my mind to buy the rest of the books in the series and have a quick marathon through out one weekend or the best would be through the Winter holidays! Oh yes..I need that right now....gotta go  back to procrastinating..yeah, now where was I in Assassin's creed? hmmm....oh yes killing a templar agent.

OCTOBER BoOkHAUL

After not so patiently waiting for the books to arrive from the UK, (like come ooon! Week is so long to wait for your dream books) *sigh* I present you the books for the month of Octorber! I know it's the middle of the month, but I had to wait for all the books to arrive.
In total I have 8 books to present you, out of which 7 are physical copies.

I also devided them into three groups:

• Compulsory reads (2)
• Books for my pleasure (MY PRECIOUSSS) (5)

I'll start with the smallest group and that is the book for review. It was sent to me by Tom Shutt on the request on goodreads as an e-book. The deadline I have set for the review is 11th of November. (so you know when to come and check it xP).

can't wait to start reading them, but I think it'll have to wait. And I also promised Crown of Midnight as a buddy read, so yeah. Together they have over 418+565 = 983 pages! god...this month is going to be...rough.

And now I have an anomaly in my books! I've decided I'll return to my mother tongue and read books in it too. I borrowed TFIOS (which in Slovak is translated as "Na vine sú hviezdy" if you were interested xP) from my mother. We have a niiiice hardback.







I have  also borrowed a book from my friend..which is now going to have to borrow me all her books (devil laugh *muahahahaha*). And that is Fangirl (Fanúšička). To be honest with ya'll I hate slovak translations. But I guess that lack of money will do the job for me to start borrowing and reading in my mother tongue once again.
