TBR Tuesday #2

This time the reason behind it is the fact I don't want to drag books with me in the bag full of my school books. So i'm reading e-books. Kindle is really a big helper.

Yet again I used my TBR jar to choose from and I pulled out The Beholder  by Ivan Amberlake.

This books is about two sides warring. The good - the Light, these are the people whow take have power over the "light" emotions such as love and happiness and use it to their advantage. Their oppposition are the shadows, who use a anger and fear to overpower people. And it wouldn't be any fantasy novel if it didn't have any knowledge of what is going on behind the curtain of real world. And that he is the one to help the Lighters win the world.

I've already started reading it and it has really interesting beginning. Not really explaining what who is what. The first scene is a fight and it catches your attention straight away with hints and whatnots about the world it is set in.

Then it hopes to the main character introducing it to us. This is so far I got. But it's already interesting! Keeping on reading it.

TBR Tuesday #1

So...waiting for the WBB 2016, I got bored and was in need of to read something. Reaching into my TBR jar. which is halfway full, by the way. I pulled out paper with Double Dare written on it.

Runaway bride Louisa Honeycut is looking for a quick escape when she passes the Double Dare, Inc sign and the slogan "Are you ready for the time of your life?" seems like divine intervention. Sheltered by her overbearing father, Louisa has years of catching up to do and can think of no better person than gorgeous Sam Rawlins to show her. Is she ready for the time of her life? Hell, yes.

Ordinarily unflappable adventure guide Sam Rawlins makes his living showing the wealthy how to have fun, but nothing in his experience could have prepared him for the "adventure" Louisa Honeycut asks for. He might be showing Louisa the time of her life, but the quirky little snack-cake heiress is soon turning Sam's own life upside down...and perversely, he likes the new vantage point.

This book is something I haven't tried yet. A romance, short one to say only 106 pages. Might be finished today or the next day. I hope I won't put it away after few pages because the synopsis didn't sound that bad. Also I think it is good to say that I got it on Kindle for free!

TBR Tuesday

So here's the thing, my To-Be-Read Jar is looking like this:

And I think it needs a little bit of tidying, thus I created a page where I will be (hopefully) updating my currently reading book each Tuesday. Also every time the page is updated I'll post a post with review of the last book and then another post on TBR-Tuesday showing you the photo of the paper I took out from the jar.

Rules are that the colored papers are books I have and didn't actually manage to read, the white papers are challenges, of 2015, which go as follows:

  • Read a book with 500+ pages
  • Reread a favorite book
  • Read a 2015 debut novel
  • Read a book that someone else picks
  • Listen to an audiobook
  • Read a book you DNF'd / gave up on
  • Read a new-to-you author
  • Read a book that is not a novel
  • Read/watch a book and its adaptation
  • Read an award winning novel
  • Read a classic novel
  • Read a series finale
