A Court of Thorns and Roses ~ review

Format: Paperback | 432 pages
Dimensions: 128 x 196 x 32mm | 300g
Publication date: 05 Jul 2015

Feyre's survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill - the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator and killing something so precious comes at a price. Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre's presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why, her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever. The start of a sensational romantic fantasy trilogy by the bestselling author of the Throne of Glass series.

I have to thank Booktubers for showing me this author. It's one of the best authors I have read so far. The storyline has a real catch to it, all the gods and traditions. She worked up hard to make sure that every detail is there.
The characters are so good! God I fell in love with Tamlin with the first mention of being fairie and not that beast. The flaws Feyre has and then catching up to her in the end! If I could I would not put the book down.

I have to say tho, I'm not much of a fan of first person POV, but...this book. This book proved me wrong! I didn't even mind the I much. I didn't concentrate on the point of view because there just wasn't enough space for it. You just had to concentrate on the plot. And the development of the characters the way they fell in love and then the action. SPEECHLESS! I'm literally speechless about this book. The only thing I can say about it : GO and BUY it!
